a gentle landscape, the increasingly rounded

Welcome in Val d’Orcia

The Val d’Orcia south of Siena, it is a land where the balance between humanity and the environment is perfectly preserved. Each Village is separated from the other by hill roads that wind among wheat fields, vineyards and olive groves.

A gentle landscape, the increasingly rounded and never bitter forms, hard or broken, dominated south by the imposing bulk of Mount Amiata.

These are places that have fascinated, with their extraordinary beauty, famous writers like Dickens or De Sade.
In the year 2004 The Val d’Orcia has been declared Unesco World Heritage, as a perfect example of the harmonious relationship between human presence and nature.

The Val d’Orcia is the set of five municipalities areas:

San Quirico d’Orcia in the heart of the valley ( you are here ) and…

– Pienza at 10 minutes

– Montalcino at 10 minutes

– Castiglione d’Orcia at 15 minutes

– Radicofani at 20 minutes
